I got an exciting note from our dev team this morning at about 6:30 and I just thought I'd share it with my most eager gamers. For all the details read on. There's a new dev build too, and I'll play and share a video like before, as soon as I'm done eating all these weird carrots.
For my fellow game makers, and those of you creating interesting projects of any kind, I'd also like to reinforce the value of an agile approach to your projects. I get a new build to play with every week, so we don't have to wait until January to find small, and sometimes less small, issues we can fix to make Firecracker Fight the hilariously fun game it was meant to be. It's better to work quickly, share your work right away, and have 75% of it wrong so you can fix it right away. Compare with the alternative, where you get all the way to a final deliverable, and see that 30% of it isn't quite right, so you have to go deep over schedule and budget, just to fix some fundamental misunderstandings. I love that my team is agile.
So here's all the stuff we got done this week. Video soon! And a few that naturally will take a little longer...
