Here are some pieces coming together to show the game screen. The newest piece is the streak counter on the left side. It's one of the things that adds some depth and replayability to Firecracker Fight.
The game will give you more powerful firecrackers after a "streak" of hits without any misses in between. These are hits where you time it just right, so the firecracker explodes at the same time as it lands on a target. Technically, within 50 milliseconds of landing. The tension comes from your having to hold it longer, and if you lose count or get distracted, you could have a traumatic hand injury (simulated.) But if you get it right, your streak counter will advance, and if you can get three, the game awards you with a free M-80. Real power.
What's in store for a 10-streak, you might ask? That would be the mythic cherry bomb, practically a board wipe. You'll probably save them for the hard levels, or even to blast a little deeper into endless mode.
